Our Tri-Hones are superior bench stone sharpening system consisting of a Silicon-Carbide stone for starting the beveled edge on an extremely dull or nicked blade. A second stone is made of soft, medium grit, authentic Arkansas Novaculite for sharpening and polishing. The third stone is hard, fine grit, genuine Arkansas Novaculite used to produce the razor sharp edge expected from Arkansas Whetstones. All stones are mounted on attractive hardwood triangles and bases. All sharpening systems come with 1 oz. of premium, environmentally safe and food preparation approved, honing oil. All bases are attractive light grained hard-wood. Silicon Carbide stones are man-made products. Aluminum Oxide may be substituted for the Silicon Carbide.
